Garden of five senses is located in the Said-ul-Ajaib village, near Mehrauli-Badarpur road, Delhi. The Garden is developed by Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation and inaugurated in 2003. The logic behind with its name is, our body has five prominent senses and the beauty of the garden stimulates our five senses which are touch , sight, sniff, hear and taste.
The Garden hosts various festivals such as Garden tourism festival, food festival, Dandiya festivals etc. with many other cultural programs. The key attractions of Garden of five senses are-
Khas Bhagh- Khas bhagh is designed and developed according to the Mughal garden style. The garden has a series of modern water channels and fountains. Some of the fountains are equipped with lighting system also.
Food and Shopping placeThe Garden of five senses has a separate section for food and shopping. The spiral pathway of the garden leads the visitor to the food and shopping court
Neel Bagh- Neel bagh has a great number of colorful plants along with the pool of water lilies in the center place.Color gardens- Color garden as the name suggests, consists of plants of colorful flowers, shrubs and ground covers.
Specimen plants courts- This place houses rare species of plants and herbsSolar Energy Park- Solar Energy Park is developed to educate people about the renewable sources of energy. You will see buses, bicycle, car, computer, etc, which are using solar energy for operation.
