
ISKCON Temple |
ISKON temple is situated in the east Kailash area of New Delhi. It is one of the plentiful and big temples of the country, built in 1998. The temple reflects finest architecture and its height is around 90 ft from the ground. The temple is complete air conditioned and around 1500 people cans stand in the hall at once without any problem.
You will visit fine art painting done by the Russian artists which showcase the life's events of the Hindi mythological characters such as Radha-Krishana, Sita-Ram, Lakshman, Hanuman and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. One every Sunday afternoon, special prayers and sermons are organized at the ISKON temple. The timing to visit the temple is from 4.30am to 12pm and from 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm every day. At the day of Krishna Janmashtmi , the temple is decorated attractively and many other events are held to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna.
ISKON temple is also known as Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple. There are lots of idols of Radha-Krishna and many other deities are placed in the Central Prater Hall. Multimedia shows are also arranged to educate devotees about the story of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Thousands of devotees participate into the annual rath yatra of Lord Krishna and Balrama to pay their homage. You can purchase religious books from the shops established within the premises of the temple.
