Lotus temple is also known as Baha’i House of Worship. The temple is popular for its flower shaped building, which fascinates the tourists to visit it.  The temple was built on 1986 and has won any awards for its incredible architecture.

The main specialty of Lotus temple is, every devotee regardless the religion can visit the temple without any restriction. According to the Baha’i, the worship place should be a gathering place where people belonging to different religions may do worship God without any constraint.  The architecture of the temple consists of 27 free standing marble petals, which are arranged in a bunch of three to make nine sides. 

All the nine doors of the temple are open in to a common central hall which ahs the capacity of holding 2,500 people. The height of the central hall is approximately 40 meters and it is made up of white marble. The temple has a house of worship, nine surrounding ponds and exotic garden.
