National Zoological park was constructed is located near famous old fort in 1959. This zoo is considered as best zoo of entire Asian region and covers an area of 214 acres. Main motive behind this National Zoological Park is to provide accommodation and protection to the animals and birds resides here. Around 2000 species are living in this famous zoo.
Animals and birds coming from different corner of world such as Africa, Australia, America etc. get shelter at this zoological park. You have to cross Mughal Kos Minar to enter in to zoo. After one kilometer, the wide pathway is bifurcated into two directions. While visiting the beauty of wildlife on both sides, you will get library through which you can get information about animals, birds, plants and other endangered species at right hand side.
Right pathway will lead you towards the cages of animals which include Chimpanzee, Hippopotamus, spider monkey, African Wild buffalo, Gir Lion and Zebras etc. Select left walkway to visit water animals. You will get cafeteria outside the zoo.
