Qutub minar is world's biggest tower, located in Delhi. Height of Qutub minar is 72.5 meters (Approximately 237.8ft). This historical building is excellent example of Indo-Islamic architecture.
As per the history, Prithviraj or his uncle ahs started its construction after defeating Tomar Rajputs and it's assumed that Qutubuddib and IItutmish had finished it. The Qutub Minar consists of numerous flanged and cylindrical shafts which are separated by balconies. Qutub Minar tower is is made up if red sandstone and decorated with complicated carving.
Height of Qutub Minar surprise visitors. It is believed Mughal used to construct towers to announce victories. There are stairs inside the Minar to go top of the tower. You will need high energy to reach the top as there are 378 steps to be crossed. From top of Qutub Minar , you can take view of entire Delhi. Apart from this, it offers view of Taghlaqabad, Humayun's tomb, Old fort, Firoz Shah Kotla and Jama Masjid.
